About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Director of People Operations to join DuckDuckGo, a leading online protection company. As a remote-first team with over 300 members, we are dedicated to raising the standard of trust online. What You'll Do

• Lead the People Operations Functional Team to improve organizational performance by developing and retaining talent aligned with DuckDuckGo's core values.
• Restructure our Performance Review Process to enhance scalability and efficiency.
• Clarify accountability chains within our distributed leadership environment.
• Create automated Work Summaries to facilitate self-reflection and evaluations for team members.
• Utilize your tactical and strategic skills to tackle ambiguous organizational challenges and achieve ethical results quickly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership role, particularly in People Operations or a related field.
• Ability to process complexity with high throughput and achieve results through hard work and efficiency.
• Experience in building frameworks for tackling ambiguous performance challenges.
• Strong data fluency to articulate proposals and run experiments targeting expected outcomes.
• Comfortable operating in a concise, asynchronous environment while building cross-functional relationships.

• Experience in remote team management and asynchronous communication.
