About the Role

Join the Wormhole Foundation as a Remote Crypto Production Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the reliability and security of our blockchain interoperability technologies. This position is crucial for ensuring that our services maintain a minimum uptime of 99.99%, excluding scheduled maintenance. You will collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and validator partners to optimize our production infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the first responder and incident commander during production incidents.
  • Lead incident triage, root cause analysis, and retrospective documentation.
  • Build detailed incident timelines and preventative runbooks.
  • Respond to incidents related to performance issues, CCQ failures, and observability pipeline outages.
  • Deliver remediation recommendations and implement approved fixes to improve reliability.
  • Strengthen observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Harden infrastructure for security and operational resiliency.
  • Enhance deployment workflows and reduce operational friction.
  • Support operational tooling used by engineering, DevOps, and validator partners.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in computer science or a closely related field (bachelor's/master's) and/or relevant experience in production engineering.
  • Experience with incident response and operational excellence in a blockchain environment.
  • Strong understanding of observability and monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in deployment workflows and incident management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in blockchain technologies and decentralized systems.
