Remote Content Manager - FinTech & Embedded Payments

About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Content Manager to lead the development and execution of our content strategy at NMI. As a key player in our team, you will help shape how we communicate with our core audiences in the embedded payments and fintech sectors. This role is pivotal in ensuring our content educates, engages, and builds trust with ISOs, banks, payments professionals, ISVs, and developers.

What You'll Do

  • Own and develop NMI's content strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and go-to-market priorities.
  • Define editorial priorities and manage the editorial calendar, aligning content to support key themes and integrated marketing programs.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality content across various formats, including website copy, blogs, thought leadership pieces, whitepapers, ebooks, and case studies.
  • Set standards for communicating complex payments and fintech topics, ensuring clarity and consistency across diverse audiences.
  • Establish NMI's presence in relevant external platforms and communities, including payments and fintech channels, as well as developer-focused spaces like Substack and GitHub discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and subject matter experts to produce credible and accurate content.
  • Act as the senior editorial authority, setting the tone of voice, writing and reviewing high-impact content, and ensuring quality and brand consistency.
  • Measure content performance and engagement metrics, conducting audits and refining strategies based on insights.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content management or a similar role, preferably in the fintech or payments industry.
  • Strong writing skills with a proven track record of producing high-quality content.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with content performance metrics and analytics tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SEO best practices and content optimization.
  • Knowledge of payments and fintech trends.
  • Familiarity with technical writing.
