About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team remotely. At Family Care Center, we are committed to transforming lives by elevating behavioral health care. Our mission began in 2016, founded by two U.S. Army Veterans, and we continue to provide exceptional care to service members, Veterans, and their families. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner remote, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to make a positive impact on the well-being of your local community.

What You'll Do

  • Perform psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to determine diagnoses and treatment strategies for clients with mental health and substance use needs.
  • Provide all psychiatric and medical services in compliance with health licensing boards and standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records for all patients evaluated and treated.
  • Conduct pharmacologic treatment strategies, order medications, and monitor patient progress.
  • Collaborate with MD or DO for complex cases and elevate care as necessary.
  • Conduct Telemedicine appointments for both intake and follow-up encounters.
  • Ensure timely access to care and flexibility in scheduling to meet client needs.
  • Engage in care coordination with clients, families, and other healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
  • At least one year of experience as a PMHNP is preferred.
  • Current full and unrestricted licensure in the state of practice and active state DEA License.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-supported clinical documentation.
  • Familiarity with behavioral-health focused EHR systems.
  • Previous work in a collaborative clinical team environment.
