Principal Software Engineer - XTM Integration (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer - XTM Integration (Remote) to join our innovative team at Filigran. This role is pivotal in defining and owning the technical vision for our XTM Integration team, ensuring we maintain high standards in architecture, code quality, and development workflows.

What You'll Do

• Define and enforce technical principles for the XTM Integration team, including architecture patterns and CI/CD practices.
• Drive the evolution of our integration framework, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our connectors.
• Make key architectural decisions regarding data flow, error handling, and security.
• Engage with the open-source community, providing guidance and ensuring our contributions are exemplary.
• Write production code and prototype new approaches, leading by example.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in Python, including its ecosystem and performance characteristics.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns, API design, and data pipeline architectures.
• Proven ability to define and uphold technical standards.
• Excellent written communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation and code reviews.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cybersecurity tools and knowledge of STIX/TAXII standards.
• Prior experience in open-source maintainership.
