About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team remotely. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists with technical and supportive functions, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. This role is vital in maintaining effective communication with healthcare teams and providing exceptional service to our patients.

What You'll Do

  • Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and inventory control.
  • Train and orient newly hired pharmacy technicians to the Children's National Medical Center's procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and medication orders.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting as a pharmacy technician.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in the District of Columbia.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with IV preparation and medication delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
