Order Management Specialist - Stem Cell Donation (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for an Order Management Specialist - Stem Cell Donation (Remote) to join our dedicated team at DKMS. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to provide second chances at life for blood cancer patients through stem cell transplants. As an Order Management Specialist, you will be part of a global network of around 1,600 colleagues, working with over 13 million registered donors to coordinate the logistics of stem cell donations effectively.

What You'll Do

  • Receive and process orders related to stem cell donations, ensuring all data is complete and accurate.
  • Clarify any uncertainties or special cases with transplant clinics and medical advisors.
  • Input all data and process steps into our proprietary software, forwarding orders to the designated Workup Case Manager.
  • Handle incoming calls from donors and clinics, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Organize appointments for pre-examinations and donations at our extraction clinics.
  • Perform administrative tasks and special assignments to support the team and department.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed vocational training, ideally in administration, customer service, or medical fields.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a relevant role.
  • Proficient in MS Office and possess good English language skills.
  • Strong quality awareness with a meticulous and structured working style.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong team player with flexibility to adapt to changing processes.
  • Interest in medical topics and willingness to learn about blood cancer.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare or non-profit organizations.
  • Familiarity with donor management systems.
  • Additional language skills beyond English.
