Operational Excellence Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an Operational Excellence Manager to join our team remotely. In this role, you will ensure that Banque Cantonale de Fribourg (BCF) designs and continuously improves its processes efficiently, consistently, and with a customer-centric approach. Your contributions will directly impact the operational performance and strategic development of the bank.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and enhance the complete inventory and process map of the bank's core and support processes.
• Identify efficiency losses, operational risks, redundancies, and automation potentials within processes (RPA/AI).
• Collaborate closely with IT, Data Management, and subject matter experts to implement scalable and secure solutions.
• Introduce and monitor KPIs for operational performance: quality, productivity, deadlines, unit costs, operational friction, resilience, and corresponding dashboards.
• Define a common methodological framework applicable across the bank, including Lean Management, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or PDCA.
• Establish operational governance involving departments, IT, compliance, risk management, and cross-functional competence centers.

Requirements

• Higher education in management, engineering, economics, IT, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in process management, operational excellence, Lean/Six Sigma, or quality management (ideally in the Swiss banking sector or related industries).
• Understanding of technological efficiency measures (RPA, workflows, monitoring tools).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and synthesis skills.
• Strong persuasive abilities and the capacity to align diverse stakeholders towards common goals.
• Excellent verbal and written proficiency in French.
