Operational Buyer - Remote Position at RWS

About the Role

We are seeking an Operational Buyer to join our team at RWS. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in procurement activities and supplier management for technical products in the trading goods sector, including weapons, ammunition, and accessories. As an Operational Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and contribute to our continuous growth.

What You'll Do

• Manage operational purchasing activities and supplier management for technical products.
• Create and process requests and orders in SAP, ensuring all technical documentation is complete.
• Review and verify order confirmations, monitor delivery dates, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain supplier and material master data in SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct internal and external correspondence in both German and English.
• Actively participate in the design of product assortments, packaging, and user manuals.
• Oversee approvals for the import, export, and transport of hazardous goods and legally relevant items.
• Define and organize logistical processes and handle complaints effectively.
• Conduct market research and analyze information to inform purchasing decisions.
• Independently manage predefined projects and contribute to team initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant commercial training or education.
• Advanced qualifications in purchasing and procurement management.
• Solid experience in supplier management and inventory control.
• Familiarity with cost analysis and ERP systems.
• Theoretical knowledge of hazardous materials and weapons, as well as foreign trade regulations.
• Strong understanding of contract law.
• Excellent MS Office skills.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Detail-oriented with a structured working style.
• Strong team player with reliability and good organizational skills.
