About the Role

Join our team as a Nursing Assistant in a rewarding remote opportunity with Lifeblood, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our donors through their donation process. This Nursing Assistant remote position allows you to contribute to life-giving donations while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours.

What You'll Do

• Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility for donation.
• Create a welcoming donor experience that encourages repeat visits.
• Perform routine blood pressure and hemoglobin tests.
• Set up machines and collection equipment for blood donation.
• Safely insert and remove needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
• Monitor donors post-donation and assist them in rebooking their next appointment.
• Collaborate with your team to meet collection targets.

Requirements

• Customer-facing experience with a passion for providing exceptional service.
• Comfortable working with needles and biological materials.
• Ability to lift between 9-22.7 kgs occasionally.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts on a rotating roster, including weekends.
• Willingness to support our Donor Mobile Unit across northern Brisbane suburbs.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role.
• Interest in learning about blood collection processes.
