About the Role

This Nursing Assistant remote position allows you to contribute to life-giving donations while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours.
What You'll Do
- Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility for donation.
- Create a welcoming donor experience that encourages repeat visits.
- Perform routine blood pressure and hemoglobin tests.
- Set up machines and collection equipment for blood donation.
- Safely insert and remove needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them in rebooking their next appointment.
- Collaborate with your team to meet collection targets.
Requirements
- Customer-facing experience with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Comfortable working with needles and biological materials.
- Ability to lift between 9-22.7 kgs occasionally.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts on a rotating roster, including weekends.
- Willingness to support our Donor Mobile Unit across northern Brisbane suburbs.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role.
- Interest in learning about blood collection processes.
