About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Network Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Transport for London (TfL). What You'll Do
- Act as the Surface Transport Bronze Commander when required, making critical decisions to ensure network safety.
- Proactively identify and escalate issues to safeguard network performance.
- Monitor control room data feeds to detect and resolve network issues, focusing on surface transport performance measures.
- Oversee third-party stakeholder responses to network incidents, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Manage the rerouting of bus services and infrastructure changes in response to service disruptions.
- Log critical system performance metrics for effective reporting and issue resolution.
- Initiate real-time actions to manage traffic and bus issues, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Utilize network management tools to mitigate impacts on bus and road networks.
Requirements
- Proven team working skills and high-level communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Strong multitasking capabilities and experience managing large-scale incidents.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to act decisively in response to real-time operational challenges.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and technological systems.
- Relevant technical expertise in road network operations.
- Knowledge of London’s road network and traffic management systems.
- Experience in a real-time command and control environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with stakeholder/client relationships.
- Information management experience.
