About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer (Java, Spring Boot) remote to join our dynamic DevOps team in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that empower Swisscom with valuable insights and ensure the stability of vital IT processes. As a Software Engineer remote, you will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to implement innovative solutions using state-of-the-art technology.

What You'll Do

  • Transform complex data into useful insights by developing an end-to-end monitoring solution.
  • Collect, merge, and analyze data streams from multiple systems efficiently and in real-time.
  • Implement and operate containerized microservices in both private and public clouds.
  • Continuously improve performance and availability of applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement Microservices architectures.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing Microservices architectures.
  • Proficient in Kafka for developing Event-Driven architectures.
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs and understanding of Big Data technologies.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Proficiency in English is required.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Kubernetes.
  • Open and proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
