As a Member of Technical Staff, you will be a strong individual contributor, significantly impacting and executing complex engineering projects while connecting dependencies to the bigger picture of Anchorage's mission and product roadmap.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to identify areas for improvements across our engineering stack.
- Establish shared libraries across teams, focusing on standardization, code quality, and reduced duplication.
- Lead application observability projects that involve setting up performance metrics, log aggregation, tracing, and alerting systems.
- Balance progress and perfection by fostering an efficient deterministic testing culture.
- Ship code that will impact the entire organization, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
Requirements
- Expert coding skills in Golang with experience in cross-functional projects.
- Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in collaborating effectively with teams to tackle complex challenges.
- Ability to adapt communication for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, GitOps, and Helm is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and security best practices.
- Experience in building and maintaining observability systems.
- Passion for refining and enhancing existing systems and processes.

Who Will Succeed Here

Strong analytical mindset with a focus on application observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana, ensuring system reliability and performance monitoring to meet user demands.
