About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team at NavVis. This Mechanical Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that bridges the gap between the physical and digital worlds. You will be instrumental in developing our next-generation mobile mapping products, collaborating closely with a diverse team of engineers and designers.

What You'll Do

• Develop mechanical components and assemblies from initial concepts to serial production.
• Own parts and assembly groups within development projects and support the execution of mechanical concepts alongside senior engineers.
• Validate design concepts through targeted prototyping and iterative design reviews.
• Collaborate with production engineering and other teams to ensure manufacturable, robust solutions.
• Contribute to the development of current and future devices, enhancing our existing product platforms.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on product development.
• Proficiency in CAD systems for creating parts, drawings, and assemblies.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing methods and materials.
• A hands-on, collaborative mindset with a passion for building and testing real hardware products.

Nice to Have

• Experience with iterative design processes and prototyping.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
