About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, CMC Project Management - Remote to join our innovative team at Akero Therapeutics. As a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, we are dedicated to discovering and developing groundbreaking treatments for patients suffering from serious metabolic diseases. This remote project management role offers a unique opportunity to lead CMC-related projects within our Technical Operations team, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and deliverables are consistently met.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and drive CMC project plans to ensure successful execution.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among teams including Technical Operations, Legal, and Finance.
• Monitor and manage project budgets effectively.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout project lifecycles.
• Deliver high-quality reporting and communication to stakeholders.
• Champion process improvements to enhance project outcomes.
• Engage with Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs).
• Work independently and collaboratively in team environments.

Requirements

• BS degree required, preferably in life sciences or engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in Technical Operations or project management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrates a collaborative communication style and a problem-solving spirit.
• Willingness to adapt in a dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in biopharmaceutical project management.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the biotech industry.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
