Maintenance Technician - Remote Position for Roundhouse

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Roundhouse in a remote capacity. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and repair of our properties, contributing to our mission of 'Putting humanity into housing.' This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $21, with additional commissions based on your experience and skills.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of all work orders.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety and health codes.
• Maintain the property’s curb appeal by ensuring grounds, building exteriors, and common areas are clean and functional.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks and coordinate with vendors.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Assist with vendor management, ensuring work is approved and completed according to company standards.
• Participate in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation and assist with snow and ice removal as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year’s experience in general maintenance and repair work.
• Understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Must provide required tools within 30 days of employment.

Nice to Have

• Trade school or technical certification preferred.
• Maintenance experience in onsite multi-family housing.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
