Live-Ops Game Designer - Mobile F2P

$80K–$120K/year

About the Role

We're looking for a Live-Ops Game Designer to join our team working on established & highly successful IPs in the mobile free-to-play space. As a Live-Ops Game Designer remote, you will own LiveOps strategy, game economy health, and systems design focused on driving engagement, retention, and sustainable monetization while keeping the player experience at the center.

What You'll Do

  • Design and balance LiveOps events end-to-end with a strong focus on engagement, retention, and clear goals; work within and contribute to a LiveOps calendar.
  • Design and balance game economies: hard currency (HC) pricing, sinks and taps, inflation control, and delivering clear utility and value to players.
  • Own or contribute to feature unlock sequencing and progression pacing so players experience a clear, satisfying journey.
  • Design offers, event-monetization loops, and itemization. Work across consumable and non-consumable monetization and optimize for both IAP and IAA where applicable.
  • Use data to validate assumptions, conduct and track AB tests, tune/balance player progression, and improve event performance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of game design experience in free-to-play mobile, with a clear focus on LiveOps, economy, and systems design.
  • Experience designing and balancing economies including hard currency (HC) pricing and value perception.
  • Hands-on experience designing and balancing LiveOps events from concept to launch, with a focus on engagement and calendar planning.
  • Experience with feature unlock sequencing and progression pacing.
  • Practical experience in designing offers, designing monetization loops within events, consumable vs non-consumable item monetization; familiarity with IAP and IAA and optimizing them for performance.
  • Comfortable using data and metrics to drive design decisions, balance tuning, and post-launch iteration.
  • Excellent spoken and written English for collaboration and documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on established or licensed IPs.
  • Experience with live games with frequent content/event cadences.

What We Offer

  • Market competitive, USD salaries.
  • Paid Time Off.
  • Performance Bonus.
  • Annual Performance Reviews.
