Junior Software Developer - Entry-Level Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our team at nology. This Junior Software Developer remote position is perfect for those who have completed a tech bootcamp or have less than a year of experience in software development. As a nology consultant, you will receive ongoing mentoring and support from a dedicated onsite manager while working on real client projects.

What You'll Do

• Support the development and maintenance of software applications.
• Work across backend components and interact with databases.
• Apply best practices in coding, testing, and overall software quality.
• Collaborate with team members in an agile or collaborative environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with support from more experienced developers.

Requirements

• Graduated from a coding bootcamp or have a STEM degree (Computer Science, Economics, Physics, etc.).
• Some experience with Java development (academic, commercial, or personal projects).
• Familiarity or willingness to learn AWS cloud services.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
• Open to relocation, as this role requires being onsite.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SQL and Python.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence.
