Junior Full-Stack Developer - Financial Services

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer to join our small technical team, working across three financial services businesses: igi Fund Managers, afx Hedge Fund, and afx Markets. This Junior Full-Stack Developer remote role offers a unique opportunity to engage in full-stack development work across a variety of internal systems.

What You'll Do

• Work on various projects that involve building, fixing, or improving our platforms, from trading infrastructure to fund management systems.
• Utilize your programming skills primarily in TypeScript, React, and other technologies as needed.
• Collaborate with the Technical Operations Manager and team members to ensure smooth development processes.
• Adapt to new technologies quickly and effectively.
• Engage in AI-assisted development, learning how to work with AI tools to enhance your productivity.

Requirements

• Programming ability in at least one language, with a preference for TypeScript.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to work independently.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, HTML, CSS, Git, AWS, and Linux.
• Experience with AI tools in a development context.
