IT & Security Manager - Remote Opportunity in Germany

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT & Security Manager remote to join our innovative team at Twentyfour Industries. As an early-stage startup funded by leading European VCs, our mission is to build advanced small unmanned systems that enhance European sovereignty and security. In this role, you will design, build, and manage the backbone of our IT, cyber, and physical security infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Define and implement IT and security strategies to ensure robust infrastructure.
• Own and secure our Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and device management environment.
• Build and maintain core IT systems across cloud, networks, and endpoints (Windows and Linux).
• Implement company-wide defenses, including endpoint security, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
• Design, manage, and operate physical security and access control systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIS2) and run internal security reviews.
• Handle onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day IT support needs across the company.
• Drive a strong security culture through training and awareness initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT, security, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, and Entra ID.
• Experience hardening Windows and Linux systems across servers and endpoints.
• Familiarity with SIEM / EDR tools and monitoring hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust quickly.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
• Understanding of network infrastructure, including VLANs, VPNs, and RADIUS.

Nice to Have

• Experience in defense, aerospace, or security-sensitive industries.
• Exposure to compliance frameworks and audits (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with traditional on-prem Active Directory and Group Policy.
