About the Role

We are looking for an IT & Audio-Visual Technician to join our team remotely. In this role, you will manage the video camera and sound system for our church, ensuring high-quality broadcasts on various platforms. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our services and events.

What You'll Do

  • Operate and manage the video camera controller system and audio controller board.
  • Coordinate with the Communication Coordinator to ensure flawless presentation of information and marketing items during Mass and events.
  • Update and manage the YouTube Mass schedule.
  • Provide IT support to the entire staff, collaborating with our IT outsource team.
  • Monitor and maintain all AV and IT equipment.
  • Ensure high-speed stability for data-heavy AV streaming by monitoring office Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity.
  • Manage user permissions and ensure compliance with diocesan cybersecurity standards.
  • Adapt to changes and perform other assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience operating video camera systems and audio equipment.
  • Familiarity with broadcasting and livestreaming on platforms like YouTube and Facebook.
  • Understanding of the Catholic Mass and its flow to position camera shots effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, YouTube, ProPresenter, and OBS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clergy and staff.
  • Willingness to work most weekends, with a flexible schedule during the week.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in endpoint management and network administration.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
