About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Heatsink Delivery to join our team at Sizewell C, a groundbreaking nuclear power project. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to lead the end-to-end delivery of the Heat Sink scope for SZC Units 1 & 2, ensuring safe, quality, and on-time delivery across multiple engineering interfaces.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the delivery outcomes for the Heat Sink scope, focusing on Safety, Quality, Environment, and Performance (SQEP).
  • Collaborate with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) to drive integrated planning and decision-making.
  • Manage engineering interfaces, ensuring design maturity and constructability.
  • Own the risk register and change control for the CI scope, promoting transparent decision-making.
  • Lead a team of project managers, setting performance expectations and building delivery capability.
  • Support procurement strategies and alliance commercial mechanisms.
  • Engage with stakeholders and prepare clear delivery reporting and readiness reviews.
  • Ensure documentary readiness for the handover of CI structures and components.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in delivering projects in complex environments, ideally within the nuclear energy sector.
  • Experience in managing engineering design and field execution strategies.
  • Strong background in procurement and management of commercial arrangements.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Degree and/or chartered status in engineering, construction, project management, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within Alliances and Joint Ventures.
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and risk management software.

  • Competitive salary of £105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
