Executive Material Management - Remote Position
About the Role
We are seeking an Executive Material Management professional to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will execute inventory operations to ensure that inventory is planned at optimal levels to meet target turns, working capital performance, and revenue growth. As an Executive Material Management expert, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations.
What You'll Do
- Support your superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets to ensure efficient resource usage.
- Implement inventory management strategies, guidelines, and processes to ensure optimal inventory planning.
- Consolidate and forecast inventory requirements in collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Monitor and track stock movements into and between warehouses to maintain optimal stockholding levels.
- Supervise inventory system updates to ensure accuracy between material requirements planning (MRP) and actual inventory levels.
- Analyze inventory turnover and focus on minimizing shortages and inventory costs.
- Prepare and consolidate inventory reports and KPIs to measure service levels and progress against inventory KPIs.
- Review the efficiency of current processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams regarding inventory operations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your superior.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management, procurement systems, and logistics operations.
- Demonstrated understanding of inventory planning methodologies and systems.
- Basic knowledge of distribution centers, distribution, and transport.
- Working knowledge of SAP - material requirements planning (MRP) system.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficient in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
