About the Role
We are seeking an Events Assistant - Remote Opportunity to join our dynamic team at Library Systems & Services. This role is pivotal in assisting with the seamless execution of events at the Edward Dean Museum. As an Events Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of the Event Operations Manager, engaging in client communication, logistics coordination, and providing on-site event support to ensure an exceptional experience for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Assist with planning and executing events, ensuring each one surpasses expectations.
- Handle administrative tasks related to booking events, including documenting details and preparing essential paperwork.
- Collaborate with the Event Operations Manager to align event objectives with the museum's mission.
- Document all event details thoroughly and prepare necessary paperwork.
- Coordinate logistics, timelines, and vendor arrangements to meet client expectations.
- Initiate contact with clients post-booking and maintain strong relationships through consistent communication.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms to showcase events and client success stories.
- Conduct venue tours for prospective clients, providing comprehensive information about the venue.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, catering, or a customer-facing role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
