About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager - Growth (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Kraken. As part of our mission to accelerate the global adoption of crypto, you will lead a cross-functional team focused on user acquisition, activation, and retention. This role is pivotal in shaping how we connect users to our products, ensuring they have a seamless and engaging experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and trust.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define project scopes and priorities, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the development of high-impact features and systems that enhance user engagement and drive growth.
• Maintain clear communication and transparency with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and expectations.
• Utilize your technical expertise to guide architectural and implementation decisions, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Encourage continuous learning and improvement within the team, enhancing processes and collaboration across time zones.
• Work closely with other engineering leaders to uphold best practices and consistency across the Growth organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a collaborative environment.
• Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach and empower team members.
• Solid technical foundation with proficiency in modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Rust, Go, or Python.
• A product-oriented mindset, focusing on how your team's work impacts users and key metrics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to align engineering outcomes with business objectives.
• Experience working in distributed, remote-first teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with analytics, experimentation, or growth tooling.
• Background in developer experience, SDKs, or internal platforms.
• Exposure to scaling teams or processes during high-growth phases.
