About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Advocacy and Communications to join Prospera International Network of Women’s and Feminist Funds (INWFF) in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in advancing our global advocacy strategy through impactful initiatives that resonate across diverse audiences. As the Director of Advocacy and Communications, you will lead a multidisciplinary team dedicated to transforming philanthropy and empowering women’s movements worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement an integrated Advocacy, Communications, and Research strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic framework.
  • Advise the Executive Director on public positioning, policy opportunities, and communications priorities.
  • Lead advocacy initiatives to engage and influence key audiences, building relationships with policymakers and funders.
  • Oversee the preparation of policy briefs, position papers, and public statements informed by robust research.
  • Manage media relations, brand management, and digital engagement to enhance the organization’s visibility.
  • Supervise the creation of publications and multimedia content that effectively communicate our mission and impact.
  • Ensure high-quality data collection and analysis to inform advocacy messages and communications products.
  • Mentor and manage the Advocacy, Research, and Communications team to foster a collaborative and effective work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in advocacy, communications, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in strategic leadership and team management.
  • Strong understanding of global advocacy landscapes and feminist movements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making and research methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in nonprofit or feminist organizations.
  • Familiarity with digital engagement tools and social media strategies.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
