Designer I - Entry-Level Remote Position at TEECOM

About the Role

We are seeking a Designer I to join our team at TEECOM in a fully remote capacity. This entry-level role focuses on building foundational design skills through hands-on Revit modeling, coordination, and documentation. As a Designer I remote position, you will learn TEECOM’s workflows, tools, and standards that support coordinated construction document delivery across various disciplines.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with engineering mentors and production staff to strengthen discipline knowledge and delivery consistency.
• Prepare Revit models, update drawings, assist with reports and calculations, and take meeting notes.
• Participate in structured training journeys and shadow senior consultants to gain exposure to Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, and Wi-Fi disciplines.
• Produce accurate and organized Revit models, narratives, calculations, markups, and supporting documentation.
• Respond quickly to feedback and incorporate revisions effectively to improve technical and production skills.

Requirements

• Education: BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent experience in design, drafting, or technology systems.
• Experience: 0–2 years in the AEC industry, design, or technology systems.
• Preferred: Exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, or other drafting/modeling tools.
• Ability to learn new software and apply feedback to improve accuracy and clarity of drawings and documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with BIM coordination concepts and tools like Navisworks and BIM 360.
• Foundational understanding of technology systems (Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi).
