Database Security Administrator - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Database Security Administrator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will focus on protecting critical application databases within a large-scale IT environment. As a Database Security Administrator, you'll work with a leading cybersecurity firm, Dragonfli Group, which provides services to federal agencies and Fortune 100 enterprises.

What You'll Do

  • Administer, monitor, and secure the client’s database systems.
  • Configure and support database security infrastructure to ensure performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure operational availability.
  • Identify and resolve system errors.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
  • Install and update database security agents.
  • Produce and maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform and support the review of system reports to identify and resolve issues.
  • Upgrade and configure database monitoring tools.
  • Deploy and maintain Imperva agents, sensors, and database security monitoring components.

Requirements

  • Four (4) or more years of experience with database security solutions (Imperva preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, IT, or a related field. Direct experience or certifications may substitute for academic credentials.
  • Ability to lead the review of system reports to identify and resolve issues.
  • Experience with upgrading and configuring database monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience deploying agents, sensors, and other database security tools.
  • Strong database diagnostic and troubleshooting experience in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with generating operational support documentation.
  • Familiarity with federal security policies and reporting requirements (e.g., NIST-based controls, audit support).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience securing enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is preferred.
