About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist 3 to join our team. In this remote role, you will lead the development and delivery of IT security standards, best practices, and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise. As a Cybersecurity Specialist 3, you will participate in advanced information security projects, perform deep-dive threat hunting, incident response, and vulnerability management.
What You'll Do
- Lead advanced threat hunting initiatives to proactively search for sophisticated threats that evade automated detection.
- Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents, documenting findings for root cause analysis.
- Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments and analyze asset discovery data to identify security gaps.
- Design and implement security solutions, integrating threat intelligence platforms and advanced security technologies.
- Monitor networks for unauthorized activities and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Evaluate and optimize existing cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, EDR, and IDS.
- Integrate various threat intelligence feeds into platforms like MISP to enhance detection capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of proven experience in technology leadership with a focus on information security and data governance.
- Mastery of intrusion detection systems (IDS), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of incident response best practices and the ability to manage complex incidents.
- A proactive mindset focused on threat hunting and prevention.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Experience with cloud security solutions.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
