About the Role

Generations Home Care is seeking dedicated CNAs and HCAs for short shift caregiving roles, providing essential home care services to clients in Bremerton, Washington, and surrounding areas. This position offers flexible hours, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others while enjoying the benefits of remote work opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct care and assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and other household tasks.
  • Support client mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Remind clients to take medications as prescribed, adhering to established protocols.
  • Document all client care activities accurately and in a timely manner, following company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal care.
  • Utilize agency technology for time tracking and task management.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, following infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Washington or the ability to obtain one within 200 days of hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Excellent communication skills and reliability.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in home care or caregiving roles.
  • Familiarity with Hoyer lifts and other mobility assistance devices.
  • Proficiency in using mobile applications for task tracking.
