About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join Apheris AI, a pioneering company that specializes in federated life sciences data networks. As a Cloud Platform Engineer - Remote, you will tackle the significant challenge of accessing proprietary data that is often locked in silos due to intellectual property and privacy concerns. This role is crucial as we enable life sciences organizations to collaboratively train superior models using complementary data from multiple parties.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and operate the cloud infrastructure that powers our internal engineering workflows and customer deployments.
- Ensure our systems are reliable, maintainable, and easy for engineers and customers to operate.
- Work with engineering teams to refine Infrastructure as Code (IaC) setups, CI/CD systems, and GitOps systems.
- Improve and automate customer deployment processes.
- Collaborate closely with clients’ cloud or infrastructure engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform).
- Clear communication skills in English.
- Enjoy solving challenging technical problems.
- Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Helm or other automation tools.
- Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) or scientific computing.
- Experience with on-premise Kubernetes deployments.
