Chief Information Security Officer - Remote Opportunity at Binance

About the Role

Binance is seeking a highly experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) remote to join our team. As the CISO, you will oversee Binance's IT and security functions, establishing and executing technology and security strategies aligned with our business objectives. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with operational resilience and security regulatory obligations, making it a key position within our organization.

What You'll Do

• Lead the strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of Binance’s IT and security systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, integrating changes into policies and practices.
• Oversee all outsourced IT and security activities, acting as the principal contact for intragroup and third-party providers.
• Direct the Binance Global Security team to identify and promptly resolve security vulnerabilities.
• Develop and manage SLAs with internal and external service providers, monitoring KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
• Engage proactively with HCMC and other European regulators on IT matters, providing timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
• Coordinate annual external audits and regulatory reviews to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience, including proven CIO/CISO roles in EU-regulated firms.
• Deep knowledge of ESMA and HCMC regulations, reporting, and emerging digital asset compliance requirements.
• Senior management experience in software development, application integration, and full product lifecycle within high-growth environments.
• Experience with core technology platforms such as Global Transaction Services, Markets, Custody, Clearing, Exchanges, e-Commerce, or Payment Services.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with a structured approach to relationship-building and performance management.
• Proactive in analyzing business drivers and implementing effective processes and controls with senior management.
