About the Role

As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our commercial bakery operations, ensuring that our products are prepared and packaged to the highest standards.
What You'll Do
- Assist in prepping sheet pans and cleaning proofing baskets.
- Replenish raw materials such as flour, seeds, yeast, and salt.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning dishes, work surfaces, ingredient bins, and oven decks.
- Package and pick breads for customer pick-up.
- Organize products in the freezer and scale out ingredients accurately.
- Retrieve and deliver doughs and retarded loaves from and to the refrigerator.
- Coat rolls and label bins and storage containers.
- Follow responsibilities and duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
- Previous bakery and/or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with food preparation and safety standards.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and awareness of hot ovens.
