Associate Electrical Test Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at Zachary Piper Solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the development, execution, and documentation of electrical test procedures to ensure product quality and performance. As an Associate Electrical Test Engineer remote, you will collaborate with product design teams and subsystem lead engineers to define test requirements.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with product design teams to define test requirements.
• Develop, document, and mature test plans, test procedures, and testing processes.
• Execute test procedures and ensure adherence to engineering and industry standards.
• Train technical personnel and provide hands-on technical support as needed.
• Implement and optimize test automation methods and tools.
• Prepare and present detailed test reports for engineering leadership.
• Serve as a subject-matter resource on test methodologies and equipment.

Requirements

• 0–2+ years of engineering or laboratory testing experience.
• Knowledge of electrical test equipment (power supplies, DMMs, source meters).
• Familiarity with battery systems, PV solar cells, and environmental/vibration testing.
• Experience using laboratory software such as LabView, MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar.
• Understanding of test automation practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, or an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Nice to Have

• Experience in aerospace electronics or defense electronics.
• Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting and hardware validation.
• Familiarity with environmental qualification testing.
