About the Role

Join South University as an Adjunct Faculty member for the Undergraduate Nursing program. This position is based in Round Rock, Texas, and is not remote.

What You'll Do

  • Instruct and facilitate learning outcomes in the Undergraduate Nursing curriculum.
  • Provide education through learning-centered instruction that aligns with South University’s educational philosophy.
  • Utilize technology effectively in the classroom to enhance the student learning experience.
  • Manage the educational environment, keeping accurate records and submitting grades on time.
  • Engage students in the learning process, promoting their success through flexible teaching styles.
  • Participate in faculty development processes to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in local campus events.

Requirements

  • Doctor's or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
  • Experience in instruction or formalized education processes, preferably in a post-secondary institution.
  • Active, valid, and unencumbered state licensure or certification as applicable to the discipline.
  • Membership in a professional association related to the area of instruction is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering a diverse learning environment.
