Adjunct Faculty - Undergraduate Nursing

About the Role

Join South University as an Adjunct Faculty member for the Undergraduate Nursing program. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment for students. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will engage in meaningful instruction and facilitate student learning, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare marketplace. This position is based in Round Rock, Texas, and is not remote.

What You'll Do

• Instruct and facilitate learning outcomes in the Undergraduate Nursing curriculum.
• Provide education through learning-centered instruction that aligns with South University’s educational philosophy.
• Utilize technology effectively in the classroom to enhance the student learning experience.
• Manage the educational environment, keeping accurate records and submitting grades on time.
• Engage students in the learning process, promoting their success through flexible teaching styles.
• Participate in faculty development processes to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in local campus events.

Requirements

• Doctor's or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
• Experience in instruction or formalized education processes, preferably in a post-secondary institution.
• Active, valid, and unencumbered state licensure or certification as applicable to the discipline.
• Membership in a professional association related to the area of instruction is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering a diverse learning environment.
