Accounts Payable Clerk - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team at OVO. This remote Accounts Payable Clerk role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of tackling the climate crisis while ensuring our finance operations run smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for queries raised to the Finance team, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Manage the shared Finance inboxes (JIRA), responding to supplier queries and escalating urgent issues.
• Ensure supplier data is accurate and assist with the onboarding of new suppliers.
• Complete regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Maximize the efficiency of AP automation by educating suppliers and buyers.
• Work collaboratively with Treasury to resolve missing invoices and minimize late payments.
• Complete weekly KPIs and assist with audit queries.
• Support the implementation of our new S2P platform, Ivalua, including UAT testing.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Intermediate experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with finance systems such as Workday, JIRA, and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
• Tenacity and patience in resolving issues and providing great service.
• Experience with AP automation processes is desirable but not essential.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ivalua or similar S2P platforms.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and policies.
• Background in sustainability or green initiatives.
