About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Security Consultant - Remote to join our dynamic team at GuidePoint Security. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity to provide innovative security solutions to our clients. As a Senior Security Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our clients' security posture while working remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

What You'll Do

  • Lead security assessments and penetration testing engagements to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Develop and implement security solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST and OWASP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver security architecture and technical solutions.
  • Engage with clients to understand their security challenges and provide strategic consulting to enhance their security frameworks.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients on security best practices and emerging threats.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security consulting and solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, OWASP) and certifications such as CISSP.
  • Experience with security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, and cloud security solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
  • Proficiency in security fundamentals and experience in client-facing roles.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automation tools and cloud engineering (Kubernetes, SaaS).
  • Familiarity with identity management solutions like Okta and Ping Identity.
  • Background in healthcare technology and enterprise software solutions.
