Senior Data Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This Senior Data Engineer remote position focuses on building scalable data platforms that process and analyze large volumes of telemetry and operational data, enhancing observability, security, and performance for enterprise clients.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/streaming pipelines to ingest network telemetry and application logs.
• Build and optimize data models, tables, and queries for analytics and ML feature stores.
• Integrate message brokers and streaming systems (Kafka) ensuring high-throughput, low-latency processing with Spark or similar technologies.
• Collaborate with network engineers and SREs to onboard telemetry sources and ensure data quality.
• Implement CI/CD for data pipelines, automate deployments, and maintain monitoring and alerting in cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform performance tuning, and document runbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, AWS, and Linux.
• Experience operating production streaming and batch systems in a cloud environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with NetFlow, SNMP, and Terraform.
