About the Role
We are looking for a Remote Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Lumin Digital. This role is level-flexible, accommodating early-career to mid-level software engineers. As a Remote Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing scalable, enterprise-grade web applications. You will work within an Agile SCRUM environment, combining your technical expertise with a collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality code and troubleshoot production issues.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust software solutions focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using object-oriented programming principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Contribute to technical decision-making and support the evolution of Lumin Digital’s cloud-native platform architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and microservices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Nice to Have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies like React or Angular.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL or MongoDB.
