About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Lumin Digital. This role is level-flexible, accommodating early-career to mid-level software engineers. As a Remote Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing scalable, enterprise-grade web applications. You will work within an Agile SCRUM environment, combining your technical expertise with a collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality code and troubleshoot production issues.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust software solutions focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using object-oriented programming principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and support the evolution of Lumin Digital’s cloud-native platform architecture.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and microservices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies like React or Angular.
  • Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL or MongoDB.
