Remote IT Support Technician - Join Terraformation's Mission

About the Role

We're hiring a Remote IT Support Technician to join our dedicated team at Terraformation. In this role, you will provide essential technical solutions and support to all internal teams, helping us achieve our mission of reversing climate change through native forest restoration. As a Remote IT Support Technician, you'll play a crucial role in improving and streamlining processes using technology, ensuring our employees can work effectively across various time zones.

What You'll Do

• Respond promptly to incoming support requests regarding software, services, hardware, or networking issues.
• Manage and track the ticketing system, ensuring all employees are updated on support requests.
• Document processes, solutions, or problems to help the IT team scale solutions effectively.
• Notify leadership of recurring issues or patterns and propose solutions for systemic problems.
• Escalate issues to the appropriate team member when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee and company-sensitive data.
• Perform assigned tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and empathy.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required, or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge and expertise.
• At least 2 years of experience providing IT support to an organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience providing technical support and solutions to customers.
• Ability to think critically about problems and solve them independently.
• Knowledge of IT systems and excellent time management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing IT systems: Google Workspace, Google Docs Suite, Microsoft Azure AD & Office 365, AWS, Cloud storage solutions (Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Cloud Platform, AWS/S3).
• Experience with Single Sign-On and Identity Management.
• Customer Service training or certification.
