What You'll Do

  • Drive the system architecture and technical direction for our backend services.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and other engineering teams to plan, build, release, and maintain high-quality software.
  • Create and maintain shared services and libraries used across our constellation of micro-services.
  • Refactor the codebase to improve performance, reduce feedback loops, and simplify APIs.
  • Develop user-friendly APIs and review code from other developers to ensure consistency and reduce errors.
  • Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of collaboration and learning.
  • Work independently or as a lead engineer on projects, breaking down large tasks into manageable components.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Strong appreciation for code quality and test infrastructure.
  • Experience with complex distributed systems and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
  • Ability to prioritize end-user experience and business needs over the latest technologies.
  • Experience in developing GraphQL and gRPC APIs is a plus.
  • Comfortable diving into open-source projects to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor others.
  • Real-world experience in software engineering, particularly in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience with GraphQL API design and implementation.
  • Experience with gRPC API design and implementation.
  • A passion for the cryptocurrency space and a deep understanding of cryptography.
