GIS Consultant - Remote Opportunity at IDOM

About the Role

We are looking for a GIS Consultant to join our team at IDOM, a leading engineering and consulting firm. This remote GIS Consultant position offers you the chance to work on strategic digital transformation projects, modernizing GIS infrastructures, and defining corporate architectures for both public and private sector clients. What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and optimize advanced GIS solutions, integrating data, services, and applications in cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environments.
• Collaborate on the definition of geospatial strategies and provide technological support and best practice advice to ensure scalability, security, and performance of systems.
• Work with ArcGIS Enterprise, including installation, configuration, administration, and optimization.
• Utilize Python for automation and scripting, and develop web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
• Conduct spatial database management using PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, and SQL Server.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Geomatics, or similar; a Master's in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
• Experience with ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Online.
• Advanced knowledge of spatial data services and management.
• Proficiency in Python (arcpy, ArcGIS API for Python) and web development.
• Strong teamwork skills and technical rigor.
• Fluent in English (C1 level).

Nice to Have

• Experience in project management.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages.
• Knowledge of cloud computing environments.
