Director of Estimation - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Estimation - Remote to lead our estimation team and drive strategic initiatives in cost analysis and project management. In this role, you will oversee the estimation process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while managing cross-functional teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our company's growth and success.

What You'll Do

• Lead the estimation team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and implement best practices for cost estimation and project management.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure accurate project estimates.
• Utilize advanced estimating software and ERP systems to streamline processes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and EHS management practices.
• Conduct regular training sessions for team members on estimation techniques and tools.
• Analyze market trends and adjust estimation strategies accordingly.
• Prepare and present estimation reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in estimation, cost analysis, or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and projects.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with strategic sourcing and procurement processes.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with K-12 education and instructional leadership is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in consumer-packaged goods or product development.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certification in project management (PMP or similar).
