Cybersecurity Engineer - Remote Opportunities Available

About the Role

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team at KWAN. This Cybersecurity Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to monitor and analyze network activity to identify potential security threats or vulnerabilities. You will support the implementation of security controls and best practices across LAN and WAN environments.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and analyze network activity to identify potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
• Support the implementation of security controls and best practices across LAN and WAN environments.
• Assist in configuring and maintaining secure TCP/IP network communications.
• Investigate security events and collaborate with internal teams to reduce risk and improve network resilience.
• Contribute to documentation of network security configurations, processes, and incident responses.
• Participate in continuous improvement of cybersecurity posture through research and proactive recommendations.

Requirements

• Must be based in Portugal (mandatory).
• 3+ years of experience working as a cybersecurity professional.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP protocols.
• Knowledge of configuration and operation of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
• Awareness of security implications related to network communication.
• Ability to analyze network behavior and identify potential risks or vulnerabilities.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM, etc.).
• Experience with security tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices.
