Community Engagement Manager - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Community Engagement Manager to join our team at Zócalo Health. This remote position will involve extensive regional travel within Los Angeles, CA, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing community engagement and improving healthcare access for Latino communities. As a Community Engagement Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that foster relationships with community-based organizations and healthcare providers.

What You'll Do

• Lead community outreach initiatives to promote Zócalo Health's services and programs.
• Collaborate with local healthcare providers to ensure culturally competent care delivery.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations to enhance service accessibility.
• Analyze community needs and feedback to improve engagement strategies.
• Coordinate events and workshops to educate the community about healthcare resources.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of community engagement efforts.
• Work closely with the operations team to align community needs with organizational goals.
• Act as a liaison between Zócalo Health and community stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in community engagement or healthcare operations.
• Strong understanding of the Latino community and cultural competency in healthcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Proficient in using technology for outreach and engagement purposes.
• Experience in developing partnerships with community organizations.
• Willingness to travel within Los Angeles region as required.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a healthcare setting or with health-related programs.
• Knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategies.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
