Charity Officer - Community Engagement Role

About the Role

Get Golfing is seeking a passionate and proactive Charity Officer to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving community engagement and outreach initiatives, making a significant impact on local communities. As a Charity Officer remote, you will help us revolutionize the golfing experience and promote inclusion through our various programs.

What You'll Do

• Plan, organize, and execute community outreach and charity events, including Fun, Food, and Golf programs.
• Collaborate with local schools and charities to build strong partnerships and enhance participation.
• Manage logistics, staffing, and communication for successful event delivery.
• Represent Get Golfing at community events, ensuring a positive image of our charity initiatives.
• Navigate the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) funding landscape to secure necessary funding.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies for working with young people and vulnerable adults.
• Engage with local communities to gather feedback and ensure our programs are relevant and impactful.
• Maintain accurate records of events and partnerships, managing budgets effectively.

Requirements

• Experience in community engagement, charity work, or event management, particularly with young people.
• Understanding of fundraising strategies and ability to secure financial support.
• Knowledge of the HAF funding landscape and safeguarding policies is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Passionate about sport and its potential to benefit communities.
• A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one is required.
• Willingness to undertake the role of Welfare Officer for safeguarding purposes.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with children and young people in educational or charitable settings.
• Familiarity with local government initiatives related to community engagement.
