Caregiver/CNA - Full-Time Position in Houston
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Caregiver/CNA to join our team in Houston, Texas. As a Caregiver/CNA, you will provide essential support and compassionate care to our residents. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while working in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Implement and support resident care plans, ensuring each resident receives personalized care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal assistance.
- Respond promptly to resident care needs and maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team.
- Engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities that promote their well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness in residents' living areas and assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
- Complete incident reports and respond to emergencies as required.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall quality of care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Memory Care is preferred.
- Must complete 12 hours of continuing education provided through community in-services.
- Fluency in English with the ability to read and interpret care plans and safety procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds as needed.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including day, night, and overnight shifts.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience as a caregiver or CNA.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
