BSA/​AML Officer - Remote Compliance Role

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated BSA/AML Officer to join our team at Paxos, a leader in the blockchain financial services sector. This remote position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting our mission to create a more inclusive financial ecosystem. As a BSA/AML Officer, you will be integral to our compliance efforts, collaborating with local regulators and stakeholders to manage risk effectively.

What You'll Do

• Manage the US-based Compliance and Risk programs, ensuring effective implementation of financial crime and risk management policies.
• Partner with US counterparts and the global Chief Compliance and Risk Officer for a unified risk management approach.
• Advise on risks related to new product launches and develop systems to comply with regulations.
• Serve as the primary Compliance and Risk contact with US regulators.
• Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and recommend necessary program changes.
• Evaluate risk considerations in the development of new blockchain-based financial services.
• Collaborate with departments like Risk Audit, Legal, and Human Resources to implement effective compliance strategies.
• Provide regular reports to the Board and senior management on Compliance and Risk operations.
• Oversee processes for managing risks and maintain specific risk management policies.
• Chair the local entity’s Risk Management Committee, ensuring risks are reported to executives.
• Act as a local point of contact for Group Risk Management inquiries and escalations.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Compliance, including leadership roles.
• Experience as a BSA Officer working closely with US regulators.
• At least two years in a Risk or Compliance role for a regulated broker/dealer.
• Deep understanding of financial crimes monitoring and US regulations.
• Experience in risk oversight within a global company or the Digital Asset Sector.
